There has been some discussion on the MT Riders Forum regarding prices of some parts, and our postage charges.
We have posted a response but thought we would clarify the situation on our website for our customers.
The pricing criticism was particularly in reference to bearings.
Most people will realise that there is a huge variety of quality with bearings. It obviously depends on country of manufacture and brand.
We only supply the best quality examples and source them on quality and not price. We have in the past considered offering two grades of a given bearing to include a budget alternative but have decided to only supply OE quality high-branded bearings. An unplanned breakdown, far away from home, would render any saving irrelevant. This will result in us being undercut on price on occasions, but it is unlikely we would be undercut when comparing like for like quality.
With engine bearings, we only supply factory Rotax-sourced bearings. That way we can ensure specification. There is of course, specification difference with bearings which might, dimensionally, appear similar.
This also applies to O rings, seals & gaskets. We only supply Rotax genuine items.
With regard to postage, we only charge carriage out at cost price and have to have a minimum carriage charge of £3.00.
The actual cost of shipping will amount to more than just the nett cost on the package, in the case of Royal Mail, as of course, packaging materials have to be factored in to the overall cost.
We offer what we believe is a very fair returns policy for unwanted parts purchased in error, and will accept parts back for credit, without surcharge or restocking fee provided they are returned to us in the same condition as supplied.
